Dr. Edward Oliver, physician and co-founder of Vuitton Travel

EDWARD OLIVER, MD
Where science, well-being, and the art of living well meet.

Dr. Edward Oliver’s professional life has long brought together medicine, science, and a fascination with how we live, a perspective that has become an important part of the philosophy of Vuitton Travel.

After graduating at the top of his medical class, Edward joined his father in private practice. At the same time, his interest in skincare and formulation led to the development of FERSKOV, a range of carefully formulated personal-care products emphasizing nature, simplicity and small-batch production.

Medicine also reinforced something Edward had come to understand: well-being is not always found in another prescription. Sometimes we need rest, reduced stress, a change of surroundings, and time to step away from everyday life.

Today, Edward brings that perspective to Vuitton Travel. He offers a private pre-travel medical advisory covering destination-specific health considerations, vaccinations, malaria prevention, common travel illnesses, and questions surrounding prescription medications when traveling internationally. Consultations are available by appointment as a 15-minute Zoom or telephone consultation.

The Story Behind Vuitton Travel

What began almost jokingly as a “travel prescription” eventually brought Edward together with veteran international travel professional and Global Tourism Strategist Kenneth Vásquez.

Their very different professional worlds proved unexpectedly complementary. Conversations about travel, well-being, and the importance of experiencing a destination rather than simply passing through it gradually developed into a shared philosophy.

From those conversations, Vuitton Travel was born.

That philosophy remains at its heart today: Travel Further. Stay Longer. Slow Travel. The New Luxury.

KENN VáSQUEZ
Where experience, curiosity, and a lifetime of travel shape every journey.

Kenn Vásquez has spent almost five decades in the international travel industry, beginning with Thomas Cook Travel in South Africa in 1977. His career subsequently included KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, American Express Travel Services, and a return to Thomas Cook before establishing his own travel company in the 1980s.

As a veteran international travel professional and Global Tourism Strategist, his career has encompassed destination development, product design, and creative marketing. He was the inaugural recipient of the UBUNTU Award presented by South African Tourism for “Excellence in Creative Marketing.”

Kenneth R. Vásquez Laya, travel professional and founder of Vuitton Travel

Much of Kenn’s destination knowledge has been acquired in the way he believes travel expertise should be: by being there. Decades of travel, repeated visits and extended periods living in South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Türkiye and Spain have given him a particularly deep understanding of the destinations that form the heart of the Vuitton Travel portfolio, including Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Türkiye, Jordan and Oman.

That experience has shaped a simple philosophy: travel should never become a race through a checklist of landmarks. Staying longer allows time to understand something of a place, its culture and the people who call it home.

Today, Kenn holds overall responsibility for the Vuitton Travel portfolio, determining which destinations, journeys and experiences become part of the collection. From the destinations we specialize in to the hotels, experiences and pace of travel, each is measured against standards developed over a lifetime in the industry.

Travel Further. Stay Longer. Slow Travel. The New Luxury.
