After an early breakfast, you will set out in air-conditioned comfort for the ancient city of Nizwa along the jagged Hajar mountains.
There you will take a guided tour of the 17th century Nizwa Fort, and have the opportunity to explore the area, which includes a charming local souk full of treasures from rugs and pottery to silver Bedouin jewelry.
Lastly you’ll be driven a short distance away to Jabreen, home to one of Oman’s most beautiful forts. Decorative wood carvings, along with impressive wall and ceiling paintings make this fort unforgettable.
You spend the night in Nizwa.
Set out into the vast Wahiba Sands desert.
Wahiba Sands, named after the Bani Wahiba tribe, provides ample opportunity to enjoy Oman in her purest form.
Along the way you’ll have opportunities to go dune bashing, sand surfing, or even camel riding.
You’ll arrive at 1000 Nights camp, and spend the night in luxury tents in the desert.
After a traditional bedouin breakfast you head to the beautiful coastal city of Sur.
Visit the Turtle Reserve at Ras al Jinz, the only place in the world where the public can witness the nesting process of the majestic Green Turtle. This once-in-a-lifetime experience can include the possibility of watching firsthand as baby green turtles emerge and make their first journey toward the sea.
You spend the night in Sur.
Another hidden gem - theBimmah Sinkhole in the town of Dibab. This gorgeous sinkhole-turned-lake is a beauty to behold, and gives the adventurer an opportunity to dive in.
For those who prefer a more laid-back approach, there are steps that lead down to the pristine water’s edge.
After thoroughly enjoying this treasure, you will return to Muscat for the evening.
